Get assistance towards rent that is due if you are struggling to pay and you live in Hialeah.

You should apply if you

Are a resident of Hialeah, and a US Citizen or permanent resident.

Make less than the program income limits. Click here and select the size of your household to view income limits.

Qualified for unemployment, lost significant income, or experience other financial hardship due to the pandemic.

Are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Answer the applications questions and upload all required documents.

Information you’ll need to provide

  • Basic contact information.
  • Yes/No questions to confirm that you qualify for the program.
  • Information on your household (number of people, lease amount, utility bill information).
  • A way to show that you’ve lost income. This could be something like a letter from your job or bank statements.
  • Photo ID like a driver’s license or passport for everyone in the household.
  • A copy of your lease.

Helpful tips

  • Funds received will be paid directly to your landlord.
  • Landlords can also reach out on behalf of their tenants. Landlords are encouraged to contact the program at savemytenant@hialeahfl.gov to refer tenants who are behind on rent.
