The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) asked broadband and telecommunications companies to ensure that individuals and small businesses not lose service and are able to stay connected during the disaster period. Nearly 400 providers have signed the “Keep Americans Connected” pledge. Check for specific terms with your provider.
- No termination of service for small business customers because of inability to pay due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic
- Waiving of any late fees incurred by small business customers due to economic impacts related to the coronavirus pandemic
- Opening of Wi-Fi hotspots for use by anyone in need of access
