Information you’ll need to provide

  • Basic contact information.
  • Yes/No questions to confirm that you qualify for the program.
  • Information on your household (number of people, lease amount, utility bill information).
  • A way to show that you’ve lost income. This could be something like a letter from your job or bank statements.
  • Photo ID like a driver’s license or passport for everyone in the household.
  • A copy of your lease.

Helpful tips

  • There are a few rental assistance programs being offered in Miami-Dade County. If you live in Hialeah, you should first apply to this program.
  • Funds received will be paid directly to your landlord.
  • Landlords can also reach out on behalf of their tenants. Landlords are encouraged to contact the program at savemytenant@hialeahfl.gov to refer tenants who are behind on rent.
  • The application shows a deadline of September 30, 2022, however, a new program will be opening on October 1, 2022.
