Paycheck Protection Program

  • Forgivable loans for up to two months of your average monthly payroll costs from the last year plus an additional 25% of that amount, up to $10 million per company
  • For sole proprietors or independent contractors, maximum is capped at $100,000
  • 1% fixed interest rate
  • Loans will be completely forgiven if funds are used for payroll, interest on mortgage, rent, and utilities, however, at least 75% of the loan must be used for payroll only (in other words, no more than 25% can be used for non-payroll expenses such as rent)
  • Loan payments are deferred for six months, however interest accumulates during this time

Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Loan Advance

  • Loans of up to $2 million for all operational needs
  • Available to for-profits and nonprofit organizations of all sizes
  • A maximum fixed interest rate of 3.75% for small businesses and 2.75% for nonprofit organizations  
  • Loan repayment terms of up to 30 years
  • Upon completion of the disaster loan application, small businesses are also eligible for an Economic Injury Disaster Advance Loan of up to $10,000. If selected, funds will be made available within three days of a successful application submission. This loan advance will not have to be repaid, even if an applicant’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan is denied

Business for All and COVID-19 Grant Contest

The Community Recovery Fund

The first phase of grants from The Community Recovery Fund will provide:  

  • Funds to sustain the operating capacity of nonprofits on the frontlines that are continuing essential support for vulnerable and disproportionately impacted populations, and those with roles equally key to Miami-Dade County’s recovery  
  • Support for organizations with loss of crucial revenue – such as fees for services, income from canceled events, performances, fundraisers, etc. – that makes their recovery and resuming operations highly uncertain
  • Working capital for organizations at risk of being displaced and unable to serve their beneficiaries

Small Business Assistance Forgivable Loan Program

Up to $25,000 loan with no interest or origination fees

Loans can be used for any expenses that will allow the business to remain feasible for up to three months. Such expenses include, but are not limited to:

  • Rent (executed lease agreement must be included in application)
  • Salaries of current employees based on payroll register
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Payment of all expenses needed to keep the business safely operational and meeting all local, state, and federal requirements. Examples include utilities, licenses or insurance
