$10,000 Grants for Black-Owned Small Businesses in Miami-Dade County

Get a cash grant to use towards inventory, business equipment, marketing and more to improve or stabilize your business.

When to apply:

As soon as possible. Applications are due February 23, 2023.

You should apply if you

Own a business with a physical location in Miami-Dade County.

Have been in operation for at least three years.

Have fewer than twenty-five (25) employees.

Have an annual revenue less than $750,000.

Drop off the completed application along with required documents to the ​​Stephen P. Clark Center (111 NW 1 Ave, Suite 2032 Miami, FL 33128).

Attend a program workshop to learn more and receive bonus points on your application score (Optional).

Information you’ll need to provide

  • Copies of signed corporate federal tax returns, including all schedules for the last three (3) years or number of years a firm. (For sole proprietors, you can submit signed copies of individual tax returns for the last 3 years).
  • Copies of incorporation documents such as Articles of Incorporation or stock certificates. (If you do not have corporate documents or stock certificates issued, you can provide a written statement stating this)
  • Picture ID for each owner and copies of current State and/ or Miami-Dade County license(s) or permit(s).
  • Copies of all current Miami-Dade County Local Business Tax (LBT) receipts. 
  • Current lease or purchase agreement. 
  • Copy of canceled check for most recent quarterly payroll taxes.

  • These grants can be used for: Inventory, Supplies (other than food), Business Equipment, Marketing/Advertising, Business Expansion, Technology (computer, software, copier, etc.)

You can receive 5 bonus points on your application scoring if you attend one of the following program workshops:

  • Thursday, January 26th at 10 am at the South Dade Regional Library (10750 SW 211 Street, Miami FL 33189)
  • Friday, January 27th at 10 am at the North Dade Regional Library (2455 NW 183rd Street, Miami FL 33056)
