$20,000 Grants for Small Businesses Looking to Scale

Apply to receive a $20,000 grant to prepare your business for the next stage of growth.

When to apply:

As soon as possible. Applications are due July 15, 2022.

You should apply if you

Own a for-profit business that is (51%) minority-owned.

Have less than $5 million USD in annual revenue.

Have a demonstrated need for support and a strong plan for moving your business forward.

If awarded, you will be notified via email and the grantees will be publicly announced in mid-September 2022.

Information you’ll need to provide

  • Basic personal information such as your name, phone number, and age range. 
  • Details about your business including business name, structure, year founded, EIN number and website. 
  • Brief description of your business and your annual revenue for the current year and previous year. 
  • Narrative questions such as how do you intend to use this grant funding, what is the origin story of your business, and who are your customers and how does your business uniquely meet their needs.

Helpful tips

  • Minority-owned small business owners that qualify for this grant are individuals who identify as New Majority, which includes Women, People of Color, Military-affiliated, Persons with Disabilities, or LGBTQ+.
  • If awarded, you will also be eligible to receive an additional $5,000 unrestricted grant after completion of a post-grant report.
