Businesses must meet the following criteria to qualify for the competition:

• Incorporated business for at least three months.
• Majority ownership by a Black woman.
• Business in any category excluding businesses that hold a retail or wholesale liquor license,  or sell children’s, maternity, medical, health, and/or mental or physical wellness products.
• Minimum of one (1) employee.
• Business owner must be at least 25 years old. 
• Evidence of customer traction and market validation.
